In the Trenches: Lawrence Spencer Ready for a Big Season

Muskegon, Mich - One player expected to play a major role in Orchard View's success this fall, is senior offensive lineman Lawrence Spencer.

The Cardinals will rely heavily the offensive line this season. In an offense built on toughness, discipline, and physicality, the line of scrimmage will be a key battleground, and Spencer is ready to embrace the challenge.

For Spencer, the goals are simple but meaningful.

"I want to put Cardinal Country on the map while giving 110% every day," Spencer said. "And it would be nice to be playing some games in November."

That goal of extending the season into the playoffs is something Spencer believes can be achieved through hard work, accountability, and a commitment to doing things the right way.  He understands that leadership is about more than words.

Spencer believes the best leaders set the standard through their actions both on the field and in the classroom.

The senior will lead by example while holding his teammates accountable, making sure everyone approaches practice and competition with the right mindset and effort.

"I want to have respect and confidence in myself, my work ethic, and how I represent the our school," Spencer said.

Those values reflect the culture the Cardinals are working to build throughout the program. PRIDE is an important part of what it means to wear a Cardinal uniform, but Spencer understands that pride must be balanced with humility and a willingness to keep improving.

The Cardinals want to play with confidence and take pride in their program, but they also recognize that too much pride can become a weakness. Instead, the focus remains on earning respect through preparation, discipline, and performance.

As the season approaches, Spencer's presence in the trenches will be vital to Orchard View's success. His toughness, leadership, and commitment to the team make him one of the key players to watch this fall.

If the Cardinals are going to achieve their goal of making noise in the West Michigan Conference and earning a postseason run, they'll need players like Lawrence Spencer leading the way.

If Spencer has anything to say about it, Cardinal Country will have plenty to be proud of this fall.
