Volleyball Season on the Horizon as Cardinals Unveil Schedule

Muskegon, Mich- The wait is nearly over for Orchard View volleyball fans as the Cardinals have officially released their 2026 schedule, setting the stage for an exciting fall campaign filled with conference battles, tournament competition, and key home matchups.

Orchard View will open the season on August 21 at home when they welcome Grand Rapids Wellsprings Prep to town. The season opener gives Cardinal fans their first opportunity to see this year's squad in action before the team begins navigating a challenging schedule.

Conference play begins on September 10 when the Cardinals travel to Whitehall to take on the Vikings in a key early-season West Michigan Conference matchup. The road-heavy month of September also includes a trip to Hart, while Orchard View will host both Holton and Montague before the calendar turns to October.

The Cardinals test themselves early in October as they travel to Kent City to participate in an in-season tournament. The event will provide valuable experience as Orchard View prepares for the stretch run of conference play.

October brings several important contests, including a home conference matchup against Ludington and a road trip to Fremont. On October 17, the Cardinals will compete against the best teams in the area during the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association (GMAA) Tournament, one of the premier volleyball events on the local calendar.

As the regular season nears its conclusion, Orchard View will face familiar rival Oakridge and Hesperia in a pair of matches that could have significant implications heading into postseason play. Orchard View will then take center stage on October 24 when they host the West Michigan Conference Tournament, giving the program an opportunity to showcase both its team and facilities against conference competition.

Before the postseason begins, Orchard View will have one final opportunity to fine-tune its game when it takes on Wyoming in its regular-season finale.

With a balanced mix of conference rivals, tournament competition, and home-court opportunities, the 2026 schedule provides plenty of excitement for Cardinal supporters. Now the focus shifts from the schedule release to preparation as Orchard View begins the journey toward another season of Cardinal volleyball.
