Red, Grey and Ready: Orchard View Gets Set for a New Athletic Year

Muskegon, MI -- Before the first kickoff. Before the opening serve. Before the first whistle of the new season, the Orchard View community came together for a night built around one thing: Cardinal Pride.

The annual Red and Grey Night was back, giving families, fans, athletes and community members the opportunity to come together and celebrate the start of another year of Orchard View athletics.

This isn't about the first day of school.

It's about the first day of a new athletic year.

Red and Grey Night gives the community a chance to meet the athletes who will represent Orchard View throughout the coming months, recognize the hard work that has already gone into preparing for
the season and get a first look at the teams that will carry the Cardinal name into competition.

From football and volleyball to soccer and the other sports that make up the Orchard View athletic program, a new season brings new opportunities.

For the athletes, it is the beginning of a journey that will include long practices, big moments, tough losses, exciting wins and memories that will last long after their final game.

For the community, it is a chance to show those athletes that they won't be making that journey alone.

That's what makes Red and Grey Night special.

It's a celebration of the players, coaches and families who make Orchard View athletics possible, but it's also an invitation to the entire community to get involved and support the Cardinals throughout the season.

This year's celebration comes with plenty of excitement.

The football team is coming off its first winning season in five years and narrowly missed the playoffs. The volleyball program is preparing for a new season with a young group eager to establish itself. Across the athletic program, Cardinal athletes are putting in the work and preparing to compete.

Now it's time for the community to come together and get excited about them.

Red and Grey Night is where the anticipation begins.

It's where fans can put faces to the uniforms, where young athletes can look up to the players representing their school and where everyone can be reminded that Cardinal athletics is about more than wins and losses.

It's about supporting one another, representing Orchard View with pride and being part of something bigger than yourself.

The season is coming.

The athletes are working.

And Cardinal fans have a chance to show them that the community is ready.

Red and Grey Night isn't just an event. It's the kickoff to another year of Cardinal Pride.
